Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DepsDown ("the Service"), operated by DepsDown ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DepsDown is a SaaS monitoring tool that detects third-party vendor dependencies in your code repositories and monitors their status pages. The Service sends alerts via email, Slack, or webhook when a vendor experiences an outage or degraded performance.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Paddle.com. All payments are processed by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.

5. Data and Privacy

We access your repository metadata (file names, dependency lists, configuration files) solely to detect third-party vendors. We do not store your source code. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) exceed reasonable API usage limits.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service downtime, delayed alerts, or inaccurate vendor status information. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DepsDown shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Privacy Policy

We collect the following personal data: email address, name, and GitHub username (provided via Clerk authentication). We also store repository metadata (repository names, file paths, detected vendor identifiers) to provide the Service.

We do not store your source code. Repository file contents are processed in memory during scanning and immediately discarded.

We use cookies solely for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Your data is stored on servers in the United States (Neon database, Vercel hosting). Payments are processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record — Paddle collects and processes payment information directly; we never see or store your payment details.

You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days of your request.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required to provide the Service (Clerk for authentication, Neon for database, Resend for email alerts, Paddle for payments).

11. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 14 days of your initial purchase, contact us for a full refund.

After the 14-day period, refunds are issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will be made.

Refund requests should be sent to support@depsdown.com. Refunds are processed by Paddle.com and typically appear within 5-10 business days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
